How to Cook Lobsters Correctly


  • Canadian Lobster
  • Salt
  • Large Pot of Water


  1. Bring the pot of water to a rapid boil with plenty of sea salt. It should taste like the ocean.
  2. Secure your cutting board with a wet paper towel underneath the board.
  3. With a very sharp knife, push down quickly into the natural crease of the head to the body and straight out through the head.
  4. Cut the rubber bands off the claws being careful not to get your fingers in between the live lobster.
  5. Put the lobster head first into the boiling water until cooked according to the size.
  6. Crack the shells and remove or expose the meat. (Your choice)

Serving Suggestion

Serve with melted butter, potato salad or some nice bread rolls. Enjoy!
