How to make dill pickles – Homemade – Spicy


  • Water 1 cup
  • English cucumbers
  • Garlic cloves 3
  • Fresh dill + stocks
  • Fresh red chillies
  • White vinegar
  • White sugar 1 teaspoon
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  • Black peppercorns 1 teaspoon
  • Caraway seeds 1 teaspoon


  1. Pour water and vinegar into a pot and begin to boil it.
  2. Add sugar, salt, peppercorns and caraway seeds to the pot.
  3. Chop the cucumbers
  4. Break the chillies and add them to one large Mason jar.
  5. Crush the garlic and add them to the jar as well as the dill.
  6. Place the cucumbers in the jar and push down to make room for more.
  7. Pour the hot vinegar mixture over the cucumbers until they are all submerged.
  8. Seal the bottle and turn over a couple times to get everything moving around.

Serving Suggestion

These dill pickles are great on many things such as sandwiches or pulled pork burgers. Enjoy!
