Turkey Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • Ground turkey
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Green pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Salt & 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 5-6 drops Worchester sauce
  • 4 tablespoons chutney
  • 4 tablespoons cranberry sauce
  • Lemon and orange zest
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • ¼ cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon chopped sage

Method

  1. Chop the onion and green pepper and sauté on low heat in a pan.
  2. Put the chutney and cranberry sauce in a sauce pan and let simmer on low.
  3. Put the orange and lemon zest into a bowl.
  4. Chop the thyme and add to the bowl.
  5. Add the breadcrumbs.
  6. Finley chop and add the sage.
  7. Add the egg.
  8. Add the mince turkey.
  9. Add the mixture of onions and green pepper.
  10. Salt & Pepper.
  11. Combine all the ingredients, shape into a ball and put into a loaf pan.
  12. Cook in your preheated oven at 375 for 1 to 1 ½ hours.
  13. When the meatloaf is cooked spread the sweet sauce over and let cool.

Serving Suggestion

Serve a thick slice with some mashed potatoes of vegetables such as Brussels sprouts or carrots.  Enjoy!
